The Pigeon Expansion by Bugster is one of the most thoughtful "Mods of Mods" in the BeamNG repository, targeting the beloved Pigeon kei truck with a suite of real-world market variants and mechanical upgrades. The headline addition is a full LHD (left-hand drive) conversion for the 4-wheel body, opening the Pigeon up to US, EU, and UK market configurations that were previously unavailable in the base game.

On the mechanical side, the mod adds 800cc engine variants and a 3-speed automatic transmission — complete with both LHD and RHD shifter variants, each with its own dedicated automatic pedal body to avoid binding issues. Gauge clusters are also expanded: both imperial and metric gauges are included for LHD and RHD configurations respectively, making the Pigeon feel genuinely market-specific rather than a simple mirror flip.

The mod also corrects the engine bay geometry for both drive configurations and ships with a range of new parts and configs. Community reception has been warm — reviewers praise the LHD conversion and auto transmission in particular — though one user notes occasional conflicts with other mods causing parts to spawn incorrectly.
